Saint Nicholas is considered protector of children and all orphans. Teachers put sweets under the pillow of sleeping children and those who don't listen well, also get a piece of grapevine to remind them that Saint Nicholas can also discipline. The whole day is a big celebration with a dramatic play, dancing, singing, presents for first graders, sweets for every child, and the most delicious food of the year. This year’s feast was graciously sponsored by Tim Garrand and our sister project: Ukrainian Life Connections. A lot of other people helped to buy costumes, dresses and shoes, decorations. We thank all those involved.
We are happy to share these beautiful pictures with all of you.
